We are renovating/restoring a 1916 American prairie style home in the neighborhood between Yalecrest and Sugar House in SLC. We wanted to strip the wallpaper in the large entry and living room open area to see what kind of shape the walls are in for considering how to finish the entire house. When Robert came over for the estimate and discuss the project I could quickly see that he is an old world craftsmen and artisan. He is very organized and arrived promptly on the appointed day. He methodically by hand using many different methods removed all the old layers of wallpaper that had been painted over numerous times and got down to the original Prairie style finish which had been a typical water-based stain of a rough coating of plaster. The plaster needed repairing in places and had been repaired not to the original finish but a smooth plaster finish not matching the original. Not only did he describe in detail the repair work that would eventually be needed but brought with him a special coating which we tested which would restore the previously repaired areas to match the original rough finish. He also discussed the many options if we decided not to go with an original finish all of which he could implement as a master painter. All these things are exactly what we were looking for and totally exceeded our expectations. Finally, he is a fascinating person to work with and talk to. We will be engaging him in the future for the rest of the rooms after my wife and I finally decide on the finish we want.

Robert installed the wallpaper on a remodel project that we were working on. It turned out so nice, I'm glad we went with him! We are General Construction Contractors, and will absolutely call Robert if we ever need wallpaper again! He is a high quality installer!
