Introduction
My goal in life is to be able to take my work with me wherever I go. In order to have a nomadic work lifestyle I must be very good at what I do because everything depends on my reputation. The approach I take to marketing and branding is wholistic in scope. From my perspective, you cannot expect to be successful in your marketing efforts if your product doesn't solve a problem or doesn't solve a problem well. Conversely, you cannot expect your product or service to be largely successful if you're not promoting or marketing it correctly. I have specialized in outdoor retail eCommerce marketing but in my mind, no matter the industry, the many rules and concepts of successful marketing can be boiled down to the fact that there is always a supply side and there is always demand side. Whichever side you're on you must figure out how to stand out against your competition. As To answer the question, "What do you enjoy about your work?" I would have to refer back to what I said before: my goal in life is to be able to take my work with me wherever I go. I love the sound or look on the face of someone coming to an "ah-hah" moment after I tell them how they could be connecting with their audience. So, I could also point to that as one of the more enjoyable parts of my job. More than anything, I like to meet new people. Being able to meet new people is something that really keeps me going. So, I do look forward to meeting you.

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Let us begin this by reminding us all that every business is different from the next one and, in turn, every project will be as well. If you're in need of a Digital Content Strategy my process will be incredibly different from someone in need of an infographic. I work on a lot of different types of projects so, by no means is this process the right one for every project. Now, on to my general approach to any project. The beginning is as simple as crossing the G.A.P.P. (uh huh, reeeal cute) Goal. What's your Goal? Where are we going? Or, where do you want your business to go? Let's get that sorted out first, then we can start to look at a planning process with milestones and the like. As Is. What are you working with As Is? What do you think is hurting you? What do you believe needs to be fixed? Paperwork Paperwork or Admin Stuff If you have Admin matters that need to be taken care of let's get that out of the way. Plan. Let's start making our plan! Abe Lincoln said it best: "Give me 6 hours to chop down a tree and I'll spend the first 4 sharpening the axe." I like to think about planning the same way you'd think about driving directions. When driving, each turn along the way is the next step toward your destination. Much the same in business; you start out with a roadmap of how you're going to accomplish a goal. The analogy goes a little bit further, you can start in the beginning with each turn or 'milestone' planned out but along the way you may find 'roadblocks' or 'slow-downs' but as long as you figure out a good diversion you'll eventually get where you need to go. A little blurb about communication: Communication should always be a top priority. Every time we speak there will be a 'To Discuss' list before we speak and a 'To Do' list after we speak. Once the initial 'To Do' list is in place we can get moving.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a degree Business Ag Marketing from California Polytechnic in the beautiful San Luis Obispo, California. I also have Google Analytics and Google Adwords expert certifications.
