FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer birthday discounts for existing clients who join my mailing list!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Clients book through the scheduler on my website and indicate if they’re booking in-person or virtual. I reply with further instructions along with a short intake form which helps us start a conversation about your needs and goals at your appointment. We'll chat about your aims for the session and what to expect while you remove only your shoes and get comfortable on the treatment table. Generally, once a session starts I work in silence, but you are welcome to comment or request something if you need to. During treatment, you may or may not experience a variety of responses to Reiki energy. Some people feel tingling, heat, or cold, have visions of swirling colors, experience a release of emotions, fall asleep, or feel nothing at all. Reiki is working at the same capacity and intensity regardless of the sensations you do or don't experience. After your session you will likely experience a detox. Reiki energy continues to move through you, shifting your energy and allowing a path for healing. Be gentle with yourself in the day or days following a session: drink lots of water, get good rest, connect with yourself and others. Listen to your body and take it easy.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I certified as a Reiki Master with two Reiki Master Trainers, Lisa Powers and Melissa Crowhurst, in two separate full Reiki Master certification courses. I am also a certified Crystal Reiki Master. I love continuing my education through courses and self-guided study through reading and research, and I keep up on the current conversations and practices in the Reiki field. I also am a 500-hour Yoga Alliance Certified yoga teacher through The Yoga Underground.
