FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When possible, we highly recommend a face to face meeting as an introduction. For out of town weddings or when face to face is not possible, we prefer to schedule a virtual or phone meeting. During this time we will discuss the details of your day and also go over budget and collection information. Once your day is fully discussed and an agreement is made, a retainer fee of 50% of the total balance is requested to reserve your date. Contracts will then be sent electronically to be signed. One month prior to your wedding date we will ask to start solidifying your wedding day schedule. This is typically done through email, but a meeting can also be setup if preferred.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
About Nikki: A formally trained dancer, Nikki finds peace in motion. Whether capturing movement through children, families at play, or the excitement of a wedding day, these are the moments that spark her creativity and define her photographic style. As a wedding photographer, Nikkis approach often reflects that of a photojournalist. Choosing to capture the most important moments while remaining unobtrusive keeps the images honest and the emotions real. These authentic moments captured are just as important to me as they are to the bride and groom. Nikki created Elm&Co to inspire future generations. Wedding photography is an exciting way for me to document the honest beauty and love that exists in this world. One man and one woman can bring hundreds together in a celebration of love, and being able to capture that is amazing to me. If I can show and inspire just one person with those images, then my job is complete. ------------------- About Eli: Eli McFadden is a Canadian-born photographer who has spent the last decade shooting fashion, entertainment, and fine art imagery. Obsessed with silence and beauty, Eli defines his photography as an opportunity to capture the moments in between the commotion, preserving the silent elegance that is so often unnoticed. An award-winning fashion photographer, Eli creates works of art that are timeless. Inspired by European trends and forward thinking artists, Eli has developed his own recognizable style, which he exhibits through fashion, entertainment, advertising, and portrait photography. Beautiful fashion exists at every wedding. From the bride and groom, to the bridal party and guests, fashion consumes the day. My job as a commercial fashion photographer is to bring a team together in order to manipulate a fashionable image. The fact that these moments are naturally occurring at every wedding makes my job easy and inspiring. The fashion photographer in me finds a whole new level of inspiration when photographing weddings. This is why I created Elm&Co.
