Positive, stress-free training means no e-collars. Welcome to a truly positive training experience for dogs. And dog owners. Our mission is to train your dog in a loving, accepting way—everything from the most basic obedience steps to intensive therapy/service dog training and certifications.
Puppy Training
Puppies have blank slates. And it is important to reinforce the behaviors you want on that slate. We help the puppy process be less frustrating.
Obedience/Behavioral Training
Dogs learn by association. So creating the right associations are important if you want an obedient dog. As certified instructors, we use positive reinforcement and redirection techniques to teach basic commands, such as waiting at the door and loose-leash walking. It’s the same idea with behavioral training. Using the same techniques, we work
on issues your dog is struggling with, such as aggression, coming when called, jumping, chewing, biting, running off, barking, and going potty.
Therapy/Service Training
It’s amazing how a good therapy or service dog can change the quality of a person’s life. A therapy dog will provide great comfort and therapeutic support for people in general hospitals, children’s hospitals and the elderly.
Service dogs perform tasks that a person can’t perform because of a disability. A disability may include blindness, PTSD, autism, or anxiety, among other inflictions.
We have years of experience in training therapy and service dogs. Each service dog program is tailored to the needs of what tasks the service dog will be required to do.
Board and Train
If you’d rather leave the training to us, no problem! Use our board and train
facilities, where we keep and train your pet for you. Choose from beginning obedience to intensive behavior modification and everything in between. It’s up to you.
As the mother of a beautiful daughter with a developmental disability, I feel a rare connection with both service and therapy dogs. It’s what gives me the passion for what I do. I have more than five years of experience training service/therapy dogs. And more than seven years of obedience training, in both private and group settings. I have trained trainers and pet owners who want to train their dogs.
I am a certified CGC (Canine Good Citizen) evaluator for the American Kennel Club. This includes STAR Puppy, Community Canine and Urban Canine Good Citizen recognitions.
A Passion for Training
I admit it. I have a soft spot for rescued dogs and their owners. But what I really love is seeing the transformation of ALL dogs with their owners. I love seeing the smiles on the faces of the owners as they watch their dogs progress through the training. I love hearing the stories from the owners who are no longer scared to take their dogs on walks, or to be around other dogs or people. It’s those moments that keep me doing what I love to do.
