I am a Handyman specializing in small jobs in Davis and Salt Lake Counties. My hope is to build lasting relationships with every customer by serving with compassion, honesty, and accountability. I want to be your go-to guy. I provide services ranging from drywall patches, paint, door adjustments, and trim repair to picture hanging, light fixture installation, furniture assembly, TV mounting, and more. I am committed to doing the job right the first time without making a mess or causing unnecessary damage to your home. If accidents occur I am thoroughly licensed and insured to cover any and all damage. At the end of the day, the most important thing is that you're happy with your home. That's why I provide a 3 Year Warranty on all projects against defects in materials and craftsmanship (excludes anything beyond my reasonable ability to predict/control such as fires, floods, mold, earthquakes, animals, vandalism, toddlers with sledgehammers, etc). I'm here to help, which is why I always give Free In-Home Consultations & Estimates, no strings attached. Prices are firm on all written estimates so there's no need to worry about hidden fees or unexpected price hikes. And, if it turns out I can't solve your problem, I'll find you someone who can. Give me a call and let me help get your home just the way you want it. Lane Bingham Owner / Operator Iron John Construction, LLC

Lane took care of some moldy walls in our new office space. We were switching out the old fixtures for better looking ones and discovered a bunch of black mold behind the old fixtures. He came and knew exactly what needed to be done. He tore out the old drywall, replaced it with new, and retextured and repainted the whole area. I think he even installed our toilet paper holders. He did a fantastic job and when it was all done you couldnt even see the patch lines. He even came in on a Saturday so that one of the rooms would be done before our plumber needed to come reinstall the fixtures. Great to work with.

Homeboy took a damaged bathroom wall and turned it into the accent point of the whole room. He used some sort of plaster to add artful texture to the wall and finished it off with a two tone paint job.

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

After an introduction over the phone I make an appointment to meet at the customer's home for their free consultation, make a brief assessment, provide an estimate, and begin work once all the details are agreed upon.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I worked for a disaster reconstruction team for 5 years. My work was mostly drywall, paint, and trim repair but I also received a diverse education in small handyman-type work.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I grew up working with my dad, a lifelong carpenter. Even when he later moved on to other work he was always remodeling or adding onto his home or doing side gigs for his friends. In my mid-twenties he was a project manager for a disaster restoration / reconstruction company and offered me a position with the team. What I first thought would be a temporary gig became a career that I hope to continue for many years to come.
