FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Thumbtack automatically pairs consumers with pros (like me). But the pricing is all based off of SINGLE PANE WINDOWS. I think many times people on thumbtack only count windows but really thumbtack determines price based off PANES of glass. Most traditional sliding (open) glass windows have 2 panes. It seems like many times I do cleaning after other companies, who charge less the $50 and the customer is having me out afterwards to actually get the windows clean. Id recommend not throwing your money away. If you want an excellent service, you need to be willing to pay a fair price.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We like to at least talk to the customer about the home or even do an on site estimate, that way we can get you a firm price. When we schedule you, we send a confirmation, and then we text you when we are on the way to your home as well. When we arrive to the home we do a visual inspection with the customer. Usually at that time we asses where we need hard water treatments. Third, cleaning - most important. Then we always do a final walk through! We want to show the customer the quality of our job and also show some areas that we found that may have had some previous damage and also teach them about how to keep an effective maintenance clean.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am Certified by the IIRC in: Carpet Cleaning and restoration, Upholstery cleaning and restoration, Natural stone cleaning, Tile and Grout cleaning. My bachelors degree was in Biochemistry. This educational foundation has led me to develop a clean that stays clean longer! Surfactants and soaps leave trace amounts of soap on windows when you use them. With soap, initially the cleaning looks excellent, but in time the windows seem to get dirty quite quick. Its because of the trace soap residues act like glue to the dust. I have made a system and use specific products that leave no residue! We don't use soap or any surfactants on the cleaning at all!
