We hired Amber and her group to do an inside house paint job. The crew would not show up until later in the evening and the part of the job they did before we let them go was not good at all. The prep work was started and the ceiling was painted. The second or a different crew came in the next night, again not during the day but at night, and did a horrible spray paint job on the walls. I say that lightly as there was over spray bad on the trim, up on the ceiling (that was just painted) and even on the laminate floors! There was plastic that was put up to cover areas from overspray and when the wall was painted they just painted right over the blue tape (that was stuck to the wall) which then left all that area completely unfinished. The areas that should have been textured a bit was just sanded smoothish and then painted over without texturing or priming it. Some patches were attempted textured with freakin caulking! Was also on a deadline and was promised several times it would be done by certain date but would go by the house to check and no-one would even be there working. Took a who weekend of un-necessary extra work on mine and my wife just to get everything back to start over again. After letting them go we got all kinds of excuses etc but did not receive any of our downpayment back. Least to say I would not recommend this group at all. It has been a horrible experience to say the least.

Details: Home • 6 rooms • Walls • Trim • Ceiling • Doors • Window frames • Under 8 feet (low ceiling) • Repainting, with same color • Repainting, with a color change • Fair - minor holes and scratches • Homeowner or property manager • No, this is not new construction • No, I will move things out of the way myself

Amber's Gleam Team & Knockout Construction's reply
You know I normally don’t get on here and have to defend myself or my company over a job that we’ve done because this has never happened before, but I want everyone to understand the reason why there was paint on the trim and on the doors is because we had to paint the trim in the doors so it did not matter what we got on the trim and the doors before they were painted. Secondly, we charged you $2000 to paint a whole home. I think that you guys were just trying to get a job done for very cheap and that y’all didn’t want to pay Either way like I said the paint on the trim was gonna be repainted anyway.

The workers were the hardest workers I have ever seen. Amber was so professional every time I talk with her.
