- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
This site doesn't allow this option to be selected, by my hours are *M-F 8:30-5:00.* Thumbtack doesn't provide a half hour increment in their scheduler. My base labor rate is $129/hr with a one hour minimum. This is for calls within a 25 mile radius from my location. Calls between 26-50 miles from my location are $129/hour with a 1.5 hour minimum. Calls between 51-100 miles from my location are $129/hour with a 2 hour minimum. This is to offset the ever increasing cost of travel. I give discounts to churches, charities, and other non-profits, as well as to veteran owned, first responder owned, and disabled owned businesses. 75 miles (one way) is the maximum I will travel. Each hour after the first is $129/hr regardless of the location and is pro-rated in 15 minute increments. If more than one device is to be serviced at a location, the distance based rate ONLY applies to the first device, all others are billed at $129/hr. Should parts be needed to complete the call, you (the customer) will be required to pay for the parts BEFORE they are ordered. I work on a COD basis, meaning payment is due immediately upon completion of call. I accept payment via cash, checks, credit/debit cards, and Venmo. I offer discounts on labor and parts to churches, ministries, and other non-profits. That labor rate is $99 per hour depending upon location, with a one hour minimum. Discounts also given to veteran owned, and first responder owned businesses. This includes retired military and retired first responders. Hours of operation: M-F 8:30am - 5:00pm. No evenings, weekends, or holidays. New Year's Day (Jan. 1st) Good Friday (the Friday before Easter. Varies from year to year) Memorial Day (Last Monday in May) Independence Day (July 4th) Labor Day (First Monday in September) Thanksgiving Day and the Friday after (4th Thursday and Friday in November) Christmas Eve & Christmas Day. (December 24th & 25th) Should any of the above holidays fall on a weekend, it will be observed and I will be closed the Friday before a Saturday holiday, or the Monday after a Sunday holiday. If Christmas Eve and Christmas Day both fall on a Saturday & Sunday, then I will be closed the Friday before and the Monday after the holiday weekend. I also reserve the right to close early or entirely for family birthdays, anniversaries, church events, and other important family events. Call or email for more details
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Customer calls or emails me, we talk about my rates and the problem they are having and set up a time for me to go out to troubleshoot their device. If parts are needed, I give an estimate on the cost of the parts and we go from the there as far as ordering and when I will return to replace the part. At this time, I do not offer maintenance contracts and all work is on a per call basis. This is something I am looking at in the not too distant future. I will do third party contract work for manufacturers and other dealers, at my discretion. Preference of course is given to my own customers. Call or email for more information.

Associate of Applied Science in Electronics from DeVry, 1990. Numerous certifications from a number of manufacturers. 28 years total experience. h I have obtained over 50 different certifications from leading manufacturers such as; Kyocera, Konica Minolta, Lexmark, Xerox, Toshiba, and Ricoh just to name a few. 28 years experience in the copier business, 32 years total in field service.
