FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing varies depending on the size or type of project. Small, under 2 hour jobs, start at $395. Crack repair/tuckpointing jobs for an entire house generally start around $1895 to $2495+ depdending on size of home, if its multilevel or requires brick to be replaced. Most homes can be completed in 1 to 2 days. If only a few cracks need repaired prices can be much lower. We are a small outfit so we dont typically take on large new construction projects but happy to tackle something in between like new mailboxes, flower beds or replace partially damaged walls hit by a car.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start by setting an appointment to wall the project and discuss scope of work and make sure we are on the same page with the homeowner. Its common for me to find quite a few more issues than the homeowner haf noticed. We can take care of e everything I find or just the major areas the homeowner initially noticed. Please dont feel im trying to increase the scope of work. I understand sometimes budget won't allow for every minor issue to be addressed. I typically work up the estimate and had it directly to the customer. After that we find a date to start the project and I will get the materials ready in the mean time.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been doing masonry repairs for 25 years. There arent many issues i havent seen. Repairs versus new construction has its own unique set of problem solving challenges. Not all handymen or even experienced bricklayers have the patience or skill to do it right. Bricklaying and brick repair are two seperate skillsets.
