We work with new construction, retrofit applications, and properties affected by natural disasters or that have suffered significant damage. We provide all types of insulation including blown-in cellulose and fiberglass, spray foam, and batt-insulation. Furthermore, we provide a number of energy efficiency upgrades such as air sealing, thermal imaging, hatch and can light covers. If it involves insulating or improving energy efficiency within a building envelope, we can handle it. We offer competitive prices and free insulation evaluations. We are locally owned and operated, fully insured and licensed, and our services come with a limited lifetime warranty.

After last winter's cold, my husband and I decided that we were going to explore ways to keep the house warmer. We asked Koala Insulation to give us an evaluation of our attic insulation. They were on time, professional and thorough in doing so. They recommended more insulation, a solar attic fan and putting insulation on the attic door. The price we were quoted was, in our opinion, very fair. We then had other companies do the same thing. In comparison, not only did Koala seem to assess our needs more thoroughly but were the most reasonably priced. When they came to do the actual work, they were polite, clean and professional. They did excellent work, were as quiet as they could be and worked quickly but comprehensively. They told us that we would start seeing savings on our bill and they were not wrong! It just made me wish we had done it sooner. I heartily recommend them without reservation.

ExcellentFirst of all, I rarely do recommendations, testimonials, or surveys. I figure if I pay for a job or product why should I give out free advertising!! So why now? I was really impressed with every aspect of the Koala process. Great attention to detail, on-time installation, extremely knowledge about the installation of insulation products and related trades. They even found that my dryer vent was not properly installed and they repaired it without any additional charge. Clothes dryer lint was blowing into my attic for 8 years. I really chose Koala because they were the only insulation company that I got quotes from that would apply foam pipe insulation on the water pipes in my attic. Having grown up in North Texas all the water pipes were under the house or in the slab. When I moved to San Antonio my builder told me that it was NOT a problem to have water pipes in the attic under insulation. WRONG!! I even paid extra to have all the pipes insulated with foam pipe insulation when my home was built. Seems the builder only put the foam on the copper pipes that were visible in the attic. Last February I had one pipe that froze and ruptured and created a nightmare. Koala added over 250' of foam pipe insulation....REALLY...So are you asking yourself what does my attic have?? I also thought I had R 30 in my attic....WRONG.....some areas not easily visible from the attic entrance there were 2 inches of insulation or maybe R 5. My 18' high by 20' long entryway had R11. I had Koala install R 49 with blown-in fiberglass. I also found out the hard way that not all fiberglass insulation is the same. I don't want to go through another winter blast in the future ill-prepared. Koala uses Knauf Jet Stream Ultra Fiberglass insulation one of the top brands and it is not that much more than the cheap stuff!! They can also quote you the cheap stuff if you want but it will take more to equal the R factor of Knauf products and cost about the same. My grandmother always said you get what you pay for...so true! I guess I could have just said "I highly recommend Koala" but then you might have ignored the recommendation. Don't chance going through another winter with improperly insulated water pipes in your attic and low R-value insulation. Call Chris at Koala!

I contacted 4 companies to get estimate to get Corning insulation blown into attic. Two called back almost 14 days or more later. The third one I scheduled to do the work but no-showed (South Texas Insulation). Last one Koala, was contacted after the no-show. Koala responded to request within 2hrs and scheduled my work with no hassles and easily accommodated my flight schedule since I mostly live in the Rockies. On day of work I received a ETA. They were kind, organized and efficient. When completed, the area was cleaned and then they reviewed work done with me. I paid less money and got a lot more in service and professionalism. I hope Koala does well as it is well deserved. By the way, they take Apple Pay.

The team at Koala Insulation did an incredible job insulating my attic! The old insulation had deteriorated and was not providing any sort of insulation whatsoever. Christian came out to my home to inspect the work, provided me several options to choose from, and had me added to the schedule to have the work performed within a couple of days. The team that came out to install the insulation was fast, friendly, and did a complete and thorough job. I've immediately noticed a difference in the temperature. To top it all off, Christian even provided me all of the necessary paperwork and instructions on how to apply for a rebate from CPS Energy. I would highly recommend Koala Insulation!
