We have a stone countertop in our bathroom that was not sealed when installed and stained and got rough over time. While he tried to polish the surface, the damages were too deep in the stone to make pretty again. The smoothness was restored, but the stone, unfortunately, is too far gone. Got a good quote for replacement stone at a very reasonable price.
