Needed to have my bbq pit firebox door hinges replaced and the door remounted. This is a 600-700lb pit so moving it is challenging. Transporting it is even worse. Local manufacturer said they would repair it, but that we had to deliver to and pick it up after repairs. I can't just "rent a trailer and tow it" LOL, so that would mean hiring movers to transport it there and then pay them to bring it back after I pay for the repairs at the manufacturer. So contacted Marc and was he available, efficient, professional, reasonably priced and the work was great. He was in and out quickly, brought all his own gear, cleaned up after, fabricated a bit and all was good. All that said, no more makeshift firebox door and all is right in the my world of backyard Q. Would hire Marc again and recommend him.

What was suppose to be 3 day job turned into over a month. Wouldn’t show up at times. After not showing up for days, I called my sons and started finishing ourselves. He got mad and took all his stuff and left. He said he come back and paint like was in the contract, but he never came back. Had to redo a lot of the fence and he had screwed screws in the fence then took out screws and moved the pickets leaving holes all over the pickets. I’d not hire him again for any job. Not dependable.

Details: Residential • Install a new fence or gate • Provide privacy • Block noise or wind • Keep pets on property • Wood • Over 250 feet • 6 feet

Nice guy but doesn't follow through with what he says he will. Doesn't show up when he says he will, does sloppy work and then doesn't finish the job and then just stops responding. DON'T HIRE HIM.

Details: Gate is leaning or sagging • Wood • Residential

You were going for the trifecta. That job was completed and finished. Ask was the additional work we did on the other side of your house. I gave you a walk through before collecting final payment. If you truly weren't satisfied with the work, the. why was I paid in full? I even did some work for your neighbor and saw and greeted you. Nothing was ever mentioned..

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We offer a discount to all retired/active military, 1st responders and school teachers. Every job is different. Pricing can be affected by material used, terrain, amount of prep work required prior, obstructions, etc. That's why I prefer seeing the job site, meeting with the customer.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I prefer meeting the customer face to face. This allows both of us to get a feel for each other. Not only are you interviewing me, but I'm also deciding if I want to work for you. There have been a couple of times when I declined the job because of certain negative signs I picked up from the interaction of a potential client.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started welding and fence repair/installation 12 years ago with a fence/gate company. Started as a helper and 2 months later the welder quit and I was pretty thrown to the wolves. Took over the welding rig that morning and was forced to learn. Haven't looked back since.
