FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We litigate contingency cases for a negotiated percentage of the client's net recovery. Typically thirty-three percent (33%). We will almost always charge an hourly fee and want a down payment in criminal cases and certain kinds of civil litigation. After that, any additional costs may possibly be managed on a payment plan.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We agree on terms and then memorialize them in a letter of engagement and/or a written contract. After that, we file a Notice of Appearance in the client's case and start managing the matter--including all court appearances that need to made, pretrial motions that need to be filed and--ultimately--trial, if it goes that far.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Undergraduate degree in economics from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. Doctor of Jurisprudence (JD) from the University of Houston Law Center.
