I was able to silence it. But, not without difficulty since it was installed 15 1/2 ft in the air. Josh replied early in the morning, and I was able to schedule with him to arrive at noon, same day. Josh arrived earlier than scheduled, and he didn't mind taking off his shoes since it was a asian household. Whenever we would bump into an issue, since I replaced the other smoke alarms before, Josh was tentative to my comments/concerns. After he completed the original task, I asked if he could knock out another to-do list item. Josh happily agreed and was able to knock it out without issues.
