FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For most projects, I charge per word rather than an hourly rate. This is beneficial to both of us: you know going in what you'll pay, and I will be able to focus on the written word rather than "beating" the clock! For smaller projects, those less than 2500 words, I generally charge a flat rate. If anything comes up that would increase the cost of the project, I will contact you before proceeding.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to discuss the project with the client so we are both clear on the expectations. It's priority to me that my clients receive the service for which they hire me, therefore, I try to ask the questions that make the job and expectations clear for everyone involved. Once hired, clients have my email and phone number, so they can text or call with any questions during the project.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's degree in English from the University of North Texas, and I have completed the Poynter Aces Certificate in Editing. Outside of freelancing, I am also a certified English teacher in the state of Texas.
