FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Resume writing includes a 30-minute intake call or meeting, before which you send me an initial resume draft if possible. Then, I'll email you a first draft with markup and questions, ask for and receive your feedback, email you a second (almost final) draft, receive your approval, and finally email you a third and final document, in an editable Word format as well as PDF. If you need a cover letter, then for an additional cost, I will include cover letter editing at each step of the above review process. I produce quality work and know you'll agree. My work reflects you without using boilerplate language. My flat rate pricing is very competitive and based on the level of job you are seeking. I work efficiently so you won't have to wait long for your product, though we'll agree on a timeline for your specific needs as we're writing up your agreement, so you know exactly what to expect.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Let's first speak over the phone so you can communicate your needs -- the more specific, the better! We'll get to know each other a bit, you'll outline your project, then I'll propose services and timeline. This should take about 15 minutes. If we are a match, I'll follow up with a contract reflecting our agreement, and once you've signed the contract, consider me hired!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master's Degree in Public Health from the George Washington University and a Bachelor's Degree in the Biological Sciences from the University of Maryland. My career has spanned biomedical research, government relations, public health advocacy, and major gift fund development for a non-profit agency. Through my work, I've effected public policy change, activated grassroots networks, and grown agency funding, while authoring six peer-reviewed publications and two advocacy reports. Persuasive communication is my passion. I excel at critically reviewing written material and developing compelling language to tell a story. I enjoy editing resumes and cover letters while providing advice to help you better tell your story and reach your potential.
