WTR Restoration is a Texas-based property damage and water mitigation company led by Ben Jernigan, providing technical support for complex residential, commercial, multifamily, and institutional property losses through detailed field documentation, construction analysis, moisture investigation, repairability evaluation, and scope development. Mitigation services are performed consistent with the IICRC S500 Standard for Professional Water Damage Restoration and, when applicable, the IICRC S520 Standard for Professional Mold Remediation. For individual appraiser or umpire appointments, any prior WTR involvement with the subject loss is disclosed before acceptance. The company’s technical capabilities include moisture mapping, thermal imaging, noninvasive moisture detection, concealed damage evaluation, building assembly and material analysis, flooring, wall system and roofing/building envelope assessment, water and contamination classification, structural drying evaluation, containment, negative air and HEPA filtration planning, environmental control, repairability versus replacement analysis, material matching and availability research, reconstruction scope documentation, and comprehensive project documentation including photographs, moisture readings, drying logs, equipment records, written condition summaries, and construction cost support. Representative experience includes coordinating a large-scale commercial water loss involving an approximately 80-unit apartment development under construction, overseeing extraction, demolition, structural drying, equipment deployment, logistics, and workforce coordination; developing and managing containment, negative pressure, and environmental control strategies for a large industrial contents and manufacturing facility; and investigating residential and commercial property losses involving concealed plumbing failures, Category 3 contamination, flooring repairability and matching issues, and complex water damage through field data collection, material research, and construction-based scope analysis.
