My experience working with Jeana has been awesome. My favorite part about, A Safe Place to Heal, is knowing I'm walking into a safe atmosphere and I can be real with my therapist, where healing can take place. If you can't be real or open with your councilor, you won't be able to heal. Jeana is someone I can share anything with and let her in my world. Where I'm normally guarded and shut down, I trust Jeana and let her in with my thoughts, feelings and pain. Her office is an eviroment that is warm, welcoming and a place, I am allowed to express myself freely. I always enjoy and look forward to meeting with Jeana for a number of reasons. Jeana allows me to get real and raw in my appointments. I don't hold anything back when I talk with her mentally or emotionally. I love seating on her couch and knowing whatever I process and share with her, matters to her. Jeana makes it easy to connect with and relate to. Sometimes, when I meet with her, I don't even feel like I'm in a session with her. It feels like I'm talking with a very close trusted friend. Its so important to find a therapist, who is relational. I have been able to develop a great relationship working with Jeana. I appreciate her fresh approach, open mindedness and that she is so down to earth real. Jeana is professional, trustworthy, confident, caring, kind and dedicated to her patients. I highly recommend her and have found, A Safe Place to Heal, to be a great source for me to heal on my journey & help me in my life.

My husband and I went in for our first session, which turned out to be a disaster. My husband brought up a tender subject, as typically happens in marriage counseling, and Jeana took his side immediately. While I could agree on several of her points, she congratulated his openness to accept fault (not in the least bit the way he acts at home) and honed in on labeling me for not accepting fault. She asked with disdain what counselors had told me before about my "condition" and made assumptions about me that were inappropriate and downright wrong. We were specifically discussing the possibility of having a baby and one approach she took to talk me out of it was stating that it would be her right to call CPS on us and have this "yet unborn" baby ripped out of my arms. I was devastated. I was shocked. I started crying and the attacks didn't stop. This is where she labeled me and got an attitude. This is NOT a safe place for a struggling couple or individual to go. When my husband and I had to cancel our second session because of unfortunate situations that came up, they charged us over $200 and were not understanding at all. Do not go to Jeana for marriage counseling. I have never felt so humiliated and more depressed after leaving a "safe place" counselor in my life.

Jeana is distasteful and humiliating. On our first marriage counseling visit, my brought up a matter that I had specifically asked him not to. In order to make me look bad and get the upper hand, he put on a good show and got Jeana's immediate approval. She then started in on me, labeling me, asking what other professionals had counseled me and even went as far to use the law to threaten me. We were specifically talking about having kids and she informed me that knowing what she knew about us (after one session in which my violent husband dominated as usual) that she could call CPS, in which they would "rip my baby from my arms". That was her way of convincing me not to have a baby. Harsh, Cruel? Yes, I was devastated. I busted out crying and then the attacks continued. She is unprofessional and is frankly very uncaring to me. They will not work with you if you have to cancel last minute due to unforeseen causes. They will charge you $200. Stay far away.
