FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer fair rates and can work with any budget. Let's set up a call to discuss! Currently I am running 50% of my current rate to help build my portfolio. This is running for a limited time, so take advantage! My current rate is priced by the hour, so after 2 years of experience that is $50/hour. Have a low budget? Not to worry, you can still get a mural! It will just be less detail but will still look great. High detail is where the rate increases since that require more time to generate the desired detailed outcome. In my estimate, I will always give you an estimated maximum and minimum cost. The total cost will vary depending on how much actual time I spend on your project.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, I take a photo of the wall that you would like painted and then I edit a proposed image (sketch) in Procreate (on iPad). If you don't have a proposed image or ideas, I make some suggestions after a brief chat about your overall thoughts for the room or business brand. After the proposed image (sketch) is accepted, I send the you an estimate which explains the costs of labor, supplies, or anything I’ll need to complete the project. I charge my typical hourly rate for these sketches, it will usually take an hour or less for the first one.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 30 years of painting experience, two years of mural painting, working with one of the best and well known muralists in the midwest. I've painted on corregated metal, brick, dry wall, primed wall, benches, furniture, fences, garage doors and windows.
