We are located in Keller, TX. We are $185/hr for couples and are unable to process insurance (although we provide superbills upon request). We are licensed counselors in Texas for Texas residents only. Whether your relationship is on the verge of total breakup, stuck in mediocrity, or can't get past a certain issue, we work with you to develop a plan to get you and your partner out of stuck negative communication patterns. You may feel: • like you're alone in this. • like your partner just can't get it. • like the tiniest look or comment triggers each other and derails all progress. • like it's great for weeks, and then a trigger -- and right back to the same despair. These are predictable negative cycles. The Gottman and EFT therapy methods we use are designed to get to the root of the problems, which are embedded in our emotional triggers and subconscious communication patterns. These approaches get to the root of problems, uncover core emotions, and break down communication blocks. It is a high commitment process that brings results. Our clients include married and unmarried couples, parents, and families. If you find your relationship stale, stuck, or going in circles, we've been there. Seth is trained in the Gottman Method (Level 2). He utilizes Gottman and Emotionally Focused therapies and works with couples, leaders, parenting, trauma, and conflict. Beth (MSW, LCSW) is a licensed clinical therapist trained in Trust-Based Relational Intervention. She specializes in parenting, adolescent counseling, and group therapy. She helps individuals get unstuck from anxiety, depression, trauma, and family conflict. We’ve been married 20 years and have four children, two of which were adopted through the foster care system. Standard rates are: Individuals (1:1) $155/hr Couples (2:1) with Seth 1 hr session: $185 2 hr session: $370 Couples (2:2) with Seth and Beth 1-hr session: $225 2-hr session: $450 2-day marathon intensive program Includes two six-hr days and 2 two-hr follow ups (Seth) $2400 We offer sliding scale rates for household income <$110k/yr.

My partner and I have been seeing Seth for a few months now. We were at the brink of divorce but now we’re doing better than we have 90% of our relationship. Not only is Seth very professional, but he also makes secure and close relationships with his clients. He doesn’t see them as just a money sign, which is more than you could say about many others in this profession. Seth really focuses on digging deep into our past relationships and traumas. He also helps us to identify our feelings and emotions, as well as validating our significant other’s. I recognize the improvement we’ve made not only within our relationship with each other, but also the way we are as individuals and that helps us to better raise our son in an environment unlike the ones we had growing up. I would recommend Grounded Life to anyone who think’s their relationship is lacking communication or clarity. I would give 10 stars if I could!

Seth and Beth get it. Life is not supposed to be easy, it is supposed to be meaningful. I recently started counseling for the umpteenth time. I was discouraged after failing so many times and I was ready to give up. But, after starting at Grounded Life, it was a lot easier becoming more consistent with the help of Seth. Texting me reminders and reminding me not to be so hard on myself if ever being late. Im still in counseling but I have already greatly improved my mindset and am on a great track.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our standard individual rates are $155/hr, and couple rates are $185/hr. We also offer couple to couple sessions (2:2 with Seth and Beth) for $225/hr on limited availability.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, we'll talk. Its totally free and there we find out if our practice fits with your needs. Then, we book an appointment. We work online with clients everywhere, as well as in-person locally. After the first appointment, you'll know if you like us. After your second, you'll start to know if its going to be helpful. There is never an obligation to commitment to us, but you will at some point need to commit to yourself to change.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Seth has an M.A., M.Div, and an M.Ed in Counseling. During his careers in education and in ministry, he has gained extensive experience with children and teens, has led hundreds of youth and adult groups, worked with special needs children, conducted premarital and pastoral counseling, acquired over 300 hours in foster care training. Beth has an MSW in social work and an LCSW. Aside from therapy, she has led hundreds of teen support groups, performed home studies with foster and adoptive parents, trained hundreds of teen mentor volunteers, and performed adolescent and parent counseling.
