FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing covers three main types of shoots: Portrait sittings: One price for unlimited time. Most family portrait sessions are 1-2 hours. Includes 5 full-resolution image downloads without cost, ready in a week. Additional downloads and prints available for extra cost. Event coverage: Charged by the hour with a 2-hour minimum. Includes all (selected) images edited for download at no extra charge, with prints available for an extra cost. Other sessions: Fees are negotiable for specialized shoots, like product photography, where time spent doesn’t directly affect the image usage.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After our initial meeting, we’ll have a quick phone call or in-person chat to finalize portrait session details. About a week after the shoot, we’ll meet to select your images and help you order custom prints for your home. A 50% deposit and simple contract are required at or before our meeting to confirm your booking. Event coverage follows a similar process. We'll discuss the event’s key moments, so I can focus on what's most important to you, like special details or memorable interactions.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I began my photography career before I had my driver's license and have had the privilege of working with amazing mentors and exceptional trainers in multiple photographic fields for over more than 25 years. Some would say that I am a Graduate with Honors of The School of Hard Knocks! I have established myself as a knowledgeable and skilled professional Photographer in the area of Houston's Medical Center, after proficiently serving as staff photographer of the US' largest children's hospital, Texas Children's Hospital, for more than 20 years.
