FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I am available by phone to discuss goals before starting or I offer a free meet of about 20 minutes at a studio scheduled around my other lessons if needed to discuss goals and options. Then I offer a 20% discount on the first 2 lessons so that I can get an idea of your goals, how best to move toward them, your retention and challenges. After the first 2 lessons we decide, together, how best to proceed toward your goals. Sometimes it includes going out to social venues to get you comfortable with "real" social settings, or seeing the different environments and settings to help decide what direction to head with the dancing. Every student is different -- their goals, plans, desires related to dance are important and widely varied so every "process" is a bit different. But I do offer discounts on small blocks of lessons 10 or 5 when students know they need some consistent progress. Also Pay-as-you-go is fine. I have some students for 2 lessons and some students for years and everything in between.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I worked for a popular franchised dance studio for about 5 years when I started in 1980. Since then I have studied many styles and techniques with many champion and notable instructors. 3 years in the 90s when the Feather Awards (dance related Oscars) were active i was one of 3 nominees for Top Female Swing Instructor (at that time that was the dance circuit on which I was competing and teaching nationally).
