Introduction

At shorty's we always offer excellent customer service. We put a new twist on cajun food. Always creating a new dish. We cater to our customers needs and budget. We try to work with our customer to make sure there event is one to remember. I love meeting new people. Every time i get a new job it's like it's my first big catering event. For me, cooking is not a job; it is a hobby.

Worst Cajun Food and this is coming from a New Orleans girl. I ordered red beans and rice and shrimp ettouffee. The beans were from a can and had no taste to them and were not cooked. The shrimp ettouffe was lacking shrimp. She bought small frozen shrimp which were mush by the end of the cooking process. The food was mostly untouched at the party. HORRIBLE. Nyree is extremely unethical and lacks any buisness integrity.When I called her and asked her to refund part of my money she said she would get back to me. Now she won't take my calls. I would never use her serivce again. FY..I she makes you pay in advance and uses your money to buy cheap and crappy food. She picked up my ckeck and cashed it as soon as she left my house...no recourse for me!

I OWN A DAYCARE AND I PROVIDE THREE HOT MEALS AND A SNACK DAILY. SOMETIMES WE ARE OUT ON FIELD TRIPS AND I KNOW IT WILL RUN INTO MEAL TIME. SO I CALL ON SHORTY TO HAVE A PREPARED MEAL FOR THE KIDS. NOT ONLY DO SHE PREPARE IT. SHE DELIVER IT TO THE DAYCARE, SET THE TABLES AND SERVE IT TO THE KIDS. AND THE KIDS REALLY LOVE HER SNACKS. THANKS SHORTY YOU ARE A LIFE SAVER! NANA AND THE KIDS

Shorty's Cajun Catering was GREAT! They catered my wedding Oct. 16, 2011, everything was cooked and served to my liking. If Cajun food is what you want to serve at your event... Shorty's Cajun Catering is the place to get it from.

Shorty's Cajun Catering catered my crawfish boil and fish fry, and they were FANTASTIC! The crawfish were cleaned/purged really well and seasoned perfectly! The potatoes, corn, and sausage were cooked perfectly too, and the fish was great. Nyree's communication was really professional leading up to the event- we appreciated that. Our guests loved the food, and we will definitely be asking Shorty's to cater our future personal and corporate events.

FAQs

What types of customers have you worked with?
Mostly, we are invited to serve weddings and company events. On the average, we serve between 150 to 500 guests at these events. We have also catered charity and after -school related events. Shorty personally caters her son's ROTC sporting events. They just love Shorty!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Before you invest your money ask for a sample plate. There's a small fee for this service, but at least you will know if the food is good before you spend alot of money.
