I moved to Houston as dedicated pool player back in 2003 and immediately began working for the largest billiard company here in Houston. With my mechanical and good work ethic background, within two weeks I was working under their head installer until he transferred to Austin. At that point, I became head installer until 2006 when I left the company to form Houston Pool Table Movers.
Originally my dream was to make custom pool tables since my second hobby was woodworking. After a couple years of making finer pool tables and providing services, I soon learned that sticking to the service side was the better option. By 2013 I had reached semi pro in my pool playing career with a 2nd place Texas state championship under my belt. All while running a full time pool table business. Now, 5 years later, I have two young children and a wife of 15 years so priorities are different now. Competing at pool has slowed down with good reason but the business is still running strong. At this stage in my life, the only thing that is important is my business and family.
When you reach out to me, your contacting a person with 1000s of pool tables under his belt. After all the basic pool table services, I also offer more specialized services that no one else can offer. We can provide crating, custom rail extensions, wood refinishing, wood working, and our re-cushions are almost as good as if they came from the manufacturer. No other company can come close to my re-cushion work, they don't have the machinery or know how to match us. We also buy and sell used tables and will aid in the purchase of a used table if your interested.
