Cleaner was an hour late for service. I had to leave for a work meeting and I guess that gave the green light to work sloppy and leave as fast as possible. Floors had wet marks throughout apartment, home didn’t even smell clean upon my return. Island counter in the kitchen was not wiped down. These photos are how I found my apartment when I came home. I’m really disappointed.

I thought this would be great and it turned out to be a waste of money. I have new cleaners coming 3 days after paying for these. I asked for Floors to be the main focus as we have a toddler. I asked on text, on the notes for cleaner and in person. I also said kitchen was my main focus and told her we mainly are in the game room so focus on the room with the black carpet. This was after

The Clean Brigade's reply
Hi Chet, customer happiness is always our top priority. But I can't deliver if you're not honest about the condition of your home. Your home has been vacant for months, and you didn't want to pay the cost for the right type of clean, even though a regular clean wouldn't be sufficient. You said your house was already clean and that we would walk in and say "why do they even need a cleaner?"... your words, not mine. You also said it should only take one cleaner a 3 hours or so to complete, yet our cleaner spent 6.5 hours at your home, and removed 13, yes, 13 bags of trash. You also have a cockroach infestation. You even told me after the clean that the cleaner worked extremely hard the entire time she was at your home and during the clean said she was doing a great job. Cleaners are not magicians, there is only so much they can do. She devoted almost an entire workday to your home even though you didn't pay for that level of service. We didn't ask for more money, and we didn't complain. Providing some before pictures would lend context to the after pictures that you posted. Had you provided an accurate description of the condition of your home to me, we would have sent a team, and handled your home appropriately. Our customers are extremely important to us, and I believe our other reviews reflect that. I don't think it's fair to slam us on a public venue when we were not informed of what we were walking into, and you didn't want to pay the cost for the right service. We communicated after and I even offered to send someone else to your home free of charge to take care of any items that you weren't happy with, even though this was a way bigger job than you told us it was. We did charge you, because we worked very hard on your home and did clean quite a bit more than what you paid for. You were charged for 3 hours, we spent 6.5 hours there, and offered to come back simply out of our inherent need to please customers. You received a hardworking cleaner who went above and beyond but was walking into something bigger than what one person can handle. Nonetheless, she did everything she could. You also received responsive customer service afterwards but refused every offer to help you that we gave you. I just don't know what you were expecting with all this.

I was initially excited to work with Clean Brigade after reading the reviews and speaking with MJ about a deep cleaning for my home. He quoted me $366 for a deep clean, baseboard cleaning, and window wipe-down. I informed him that two rooms (a bedroom and an office) had boxes, so they’d need to clean around them, and one bedroom and bathroom were empty but required dusting due to recent work done in the space. MJ assured me that his team would handle any visible dust and debris using their “special tools.” When Debbie and Veronica arrived, they looked visibly tired and began on the third floor. Debbie asked me to check the area, but it was far from clean. Dust and debris were still under the dresser, the nightstand wasn’t wiped down, water stains remained on the floor, soap scum lingered on the shower door, and the sinks hadn’t been properly cleaned. When I asked them to address these areas, Debbie responded that they had already cleaned. Veronica came up, and when I showed her the dirt, she agreed it had not been properly done and started re-cleaning. Meanwhile, Debbie seemed upset and began speaking to Veronica in Spanish, questioning why she was continuing to clean. Debbie then left to retrieve something from her car, and MJ called to check on the service. At this point, I was uncomfortable in my own home and felt uneasy asking them to re-clean areas, as my requests were met with excuses and defensiveness. I had to speak to MJ in my closet because I was worried about the team throwing another fit in my home. MJ was still trying to encourage me to give feedback, but it felt pointless because I had already asked for the same areas to be cleaned multiple times and I was given nothing but excuses for why it wasn’t clean. For instance, the media stand and coffee table weren’t cleaned at all; the remotes hadn’t even been moved. After pointing out a few more missed spots, I realized the overall effort was subpar. The entire experience felt frustrating and unprofessional, and I just wanted the crew to wrap it up and leave. When I spoke with MJ again, he offered a $100 credit and a follow-up cleaning the following week. However, this didn’t seem fair, as $100 off would still result in a price higher than the standard cleaning quote for the entire house—which they didn’t even clean. I suggested applying the credit and sending another crew, but MJ refused. He also made dismissive comments about how “cleans aren’t always up to homeowners’ expectations,” implying I was being overly critical, despite the clear evidence of poor, lazy work. He had been sent several photos of the issues throughout the process, yet the pushback continued. What’s most concerning is that my card was charged before the service even began, leaving me no recourse if the job wasn’t completed properly. Additionally, one of the cleaners mentioned she has back problems and had already cleaned several homes that day. It’s upsetting to hear this, as it affects not only her well-being but also the quality of service. I usually try to resolve issues directly with a company, but this experience feels beyond unfair. The lack of accountability, the substandard cleaning, and the dismissive attitude from management have left me deeply unsatisfied and disappointed.

This is their service quality after deep cleaning !

The Clean Brigade's reply
Hi Ali, we are sorry that you are disappointed in the cleaning. However, we do believe your expectations were unrealistic in what a cleaning company will do. We deep cleaned your house twice over, including hand washing the stairs because you continued to express your displeasure with the outcome. You would find a single hair somewhere and make the cleaners do it over. A deep clean is detailed, but when you have two hairy dogs walking around your home, there will be hairs settling in after something is cleaned. It does appear we missed that light switch, your chair and the mat. But you continuously interrupted the cleaners to re-do work they had just completed that they got turned around. We would have been happy to handle that during the final walkthrough, but you didn't afford us the opportunity to do one. You were also rude and condescending to them. They are nice ladies just trying to do a good job to make you happy. This particular team is responsible for many of the 5 star reviews we have here. But the way you treated them, and the constant interruptions admittedly caused us to miss the three things you pointed out. That being said, these ladies re-did everything you asked in some cases, multiple times in an effort to make you happy. We are sorry it did not work out but we wish you the best moving forward.
