FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My base rate is $60 per hour of design work and I charge a $30 deposit for prework and visual research. After discussing the initial brief with you, I can usually provide you with an estimate of how many design hours the project will require. A 25% fee is added to final totals for rush jobs, and projects that require more than 10 design hours require a 25% prework deposit. Loyalty discounts are available if we work together again :)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will gather all of the information about your project by asking a series of questions regarding the timeline, any ideas you have in mind, and the ins and outs of what and who the project is for. Then I will head to the drawing board and create a unique profile for the project that will guide my visual language. I will then create moodboards for inspiration, using assets that you may provide and that I find during my research. Then, I will create your assets and check in frequently to see if we're on the right track.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Cognitive Science from the University of Pennsylvania and a Certificate of Completion of 286-Hour Curriculum in Graphic Design from Shillington. Both of these qualifications have helped me understand why we, as humans, enjoy the visuals that we enjoy. Apart from learning the technical skills that come with using the Adobe Creative Suite, Shillington specifically taught me how to create bespoke content for a variety of clients by emphasizing the importance of understanding the message and values that the client wants to convey. I gained a lot of experience with this profound aspect of graphic design during my time at a marketing agency in SoHo, where we made content for LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and print distribution.
