Introduction
Bayoji’s background of being a former prosecutor means that if you hire him as a defense attorney, you are hiring a defense attorney that understands how the other side thinks, which is useful in raising the best possible defense for your case. It also means that Bayoji has good relationships with prosecutors and judges, which he can leverage to seek the best possible resolution to your case during plea negotiations. Lastly, as a former prosecutor who has tried countless cases, Bayoji is not afraid to go trial on any case!

I’ll start by saying this. I’ve always known the criminal justice system is unjustly setup for people of color to not succeed in life or justice. Furthermore the workflow process in the courtrooms are archaic. I’ve always sympathized with anyone accused of any crime but I now empathize with them as I now know and have experienced being charged for a crime I did not commit and being treated guilty until proven innocent. I feel the pain of those who don’t have the means to make bail, cannot afford a competent attorney or who has a job whose less than willing to work with you prior to a disposition. With all that being said, after reviewing prior reviews for Attorney Akinbayoji and reaching out for a consultation on a Friday. He called me back the same day, reviewed my case, informed me of all avenues, possible outcomes, next steps, he showed up to court the following Monday, negotiated a walk through and recommended a bail bondsman. Mr. Akinbayoji’s responsiveness , patience, sympathy and thoroughness is why I decided to hire him as my attorney. Not to mention I hire black and competent before I would ever hire an attorney who culturally appropriates for certain fast money demographical cases and quick to negotiate a deal vs fighting for the client. Never having gone through the system, I had so many questions. Mr. Akinbayoji answered every question without making any promises, always explained worst case scenarios and communicated more often than I expected considering his workload. He showed up to every court case and worked for my best interest, not for the interest of collecting a quick buck. I will say, no matter which attorney you hire it’s important to note, the system and process is just that the system and process. If you run into an attorney who promises a unicorn, get a 2nd opinion. This is your money and life. Take it into your own hands where possible. That being said, regardless of which attorney you hire, it’s imperative that you listen, ask questions and DO YOUR PART; provide evidence, follow court/pretrial rules etc. Help your attorney help you and stay off the radar. Even after the DA, reset, reset, reset and BS’s around (remember their job is to prosecute. Not be fair), my case was dismissed in less than 6 months. Not going to trail. Regardless the outcome of my case. I would highly recommend Attorney Akinbayoji Akingbola without an blink of an eye or hesitation. Ted Talk: Stop hiring attorneys that treat you like a number. You deserve competent, thorough and quality representation who knows this fucked up system.

This attorney went above and beyond for me! My case was from 2019 in Jefferson County, Texas. I had an unknown warrant out for my arrested and was arrested moving riding through Nebraska. We retained Bayoji once I was released after Nebraska unlawfully detained me for the amount of days they did and trying to create a bond knowing Texas doesn’t accept out of state bonds. I shortly found out after I’d have to turn myself in, so I got to work for finding an attorney. I couldn’t find one attorney in Jefferson County that would take my case, but Bayoji did! All the way from Houston. He was confident after reading the details he could get the charges dismissed. After a couple weeks, I had to turn myself in to have my misdemeanor bond set, I also had a felony charge. He asked me to give any extra information I had about the miscommunication of the opposing party and I did. At my next court date in Texas, all my charges were dismissed. He floated from courtroom to courtroom to advocate for me, because I’d been in jail twice already for this matter. My charges were dismissed and we were out in less than an hour of him arriving. I was already drained and defeated, but he sought the victory. If you have any doubts about booking him, don’t! Take it from me, give him a call and consult with him! I thank God we found Akingbola Law!

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask how long the attorney has been in practice and how many trials they’ve had. It’s important to have a lawyer who’s experienced and confident in trial. You may not want a trial but if the State refuses to dismiss their case and you’re innocent, then trial is the only option. And if that time comes you want a lawyer who’s not afraid to back you up in court.
