Ku approaches his work like a sacred duty that he never takes for granted.
You can tell he loves performing for people & is always grateful for the opportunity to entertain, no matter who they are or what size the crowd is - in fact the more diverse, the better!
The night I met him, I was struggling through the worst time of my life & something about his enthusiastic, charismatic performance and the way he engaged me & the rest of the crowd & involved us in his performance healed some of the hurt inside of me.
And when I, a total stranger, went up and told him what he’d done for me, he didn’t laugh at me the way a less humble performer surely would have.
I’ve since had the pleasure of seeing Ku work as a comedian in a variety of different settings and venues and he’s always consistent in his professionalism, appreciation of the audience and desire to take care of his fellow comedians or other fellow performers.
It’s not just that he’s funny, but he has a rare magnitude of stage presence I’ve rarely witnessed in live performances.
The Houston comedy scene is lucky to have him.
Now give this man his Netflix special already! 😆 📺 🎥

Ku Egenti is the definition of comedian. He is quick witted, sharp as a tack, naturally observant, and organically FUNNY! His charisma alone can carry an entire show, and his generosity and support within the comedy scene is UNMATCHED! Not only does he put every bit of himself into his craft, but he’s continuously seeing, supporting, and bringing it out in others. To work with him is an honor. Ku Egenti is a class act that will always leave you smiling!

I started coming to Houston comedy shows probably 2018. Ku Egenti is one of the first folks I met on the local Houston comedy scene. He not only provides consistently amazing comedy sets, serves as a creative force behind several shows around town, the state, and country, but he has been there for me as true authentic person throughout the ups and downs of my life. He truly connects to new fans and old in a way that everyone feels special and sees the value in what Ku brings to the table. His professionalism is outstanding. He wows audiences wherever he goes.
