Really expected to give them 5 stars, but this explains why I can't. This pro is only not a headache if you live where the work is being done and see for yourself immediately. I believe the positive review because they appear to be good people and sincere with one exception. Heather calls you saying it's done, but when you get there, it isn't and they're upset about coming back out but fail to properly coordinate if you don't live there. They were hired on 2 separate occasions. Heather is 2 for 2 on saying the job's done when it wasn't: doors did not have a level plane (1 was in fact very jagged, and a dark wall was painted a cream color, but the coats weren't even and the dark blue was still visible, just not photogenic.) Understandably, scheduling is hard to do because it's hard to predict when some jobs will be done (but not impossible) and they'll want to start before you can get there without a clear idea of when they'll be done. Basically, a better eye for detail is needed by them. If you're on site, you're good. If you are listening to Heather, you will be told it's done via phone and then see glaring oversights in person which AJ will acknowledge before you even open your mouth. Like I said, if you are onsite, you will probably be very pleased with this contractor. 1st job: they actually did extra things to make the place nicer and fixed the doors that needed level planes (mostly). I think that's a hard job and tipped a little. The other tasks were done to completion. 2nd job: they didn't even finish painting and ran off, they also don't tape off light switches and outlets or remove the plates so those are going to get paint on them. Wanted to raise the price for reasons my husband said they should've factored into their quote (if experienced painters). No itemized quote given for second job at all. Looking at pictures of their work from Heather isn't accurate for judgement because they don't take them properly. It was the reason I had to see their first job in person. Pictures were taken to prove completion, but sometimes they hid work blemishes. I mostly think they just need an eye for detail. My husband said it's better to just pay a travel fee for his painters to come from DFW than to deal with the headache caused. Literally me, my husband, and the contractors had a headache after working together. Be on site for their work.
