FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I believe in providing clear and honest pricing with no surprises. Here are a few things to know about my pricing: 1.) Upfront Estimates: Before starting any project, I provide a detailed estimate that outlines the cost of labor and materials. This ensures that you know exactly what to expect from the start. 2.) Hourly vs. Flat Rates: Depending on the type of job, I either charge an hourly rate or a flat fee for the entire project. For smaller, straightforward tasks, an hourly rate may be more appropriate, while larger projects may benefit from a flat-rate agreement. 3.) Material Costs: If the project requires specific materials or supplies, I will always discuss these costs upfront, and I can either source them for you or let you know if you’d prefer to handle it. 4.) Travel Fees: Depending on your location and the distance from my service area, there may be a small travel fee, especially for jobs outside the immediate area. However, I’ll always confirm this with you before scheduling. 5.) Discounts and Promotions: I offer discounts for repeat customers or for larger projects. Feel free to ask about any ongoing promotions or deals! 6.) Payment Terms: Typically, I require a small deposit to schedule the work, with the balance due upon completion. I accept [list payment methods like cash, credit, checks, etc.], and I always ensure that payments are easy and convenient for you. My goal is to provide quality service at a fair price, so if you have any questions or concerns about pricing, feel free to ask. I’m happy to work with you to ensure the project fits within your budget.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My process for working with a new customer is simple and straightforward. First, I take the time to understand the specific needs of the customer by discussing the project in detail. I ask questions to clarify any details and make sure I fully understand the scope of the work. Once we’re on the same page, I provide an upfront, honest estimate and discuss timelines, ensuring there are no surprises down the road. Next, I schedule the work at a time that’s convenient for the customer, and I always arrive on time, fully prepared to complete the job. During the job, I prioritize quality and cleanliness to ensure the customer is satisfied with the finished result. Afterward, I double-check that everything is functioning as expected and make sure the customer is completely happy with the work before we wrap up. I also believe in clear communication throughout the process—whether it’s answering any follow-up questions or explaining how to maintain or care for the work completed. My goal is to ensure a smooth and positive experience for every customer, from start to finish.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I bring a unique combination of experience, education, and training to my work as a handyman. My journey began with serving in the U.S. Army, where I learned discipline, attention to detail, and how to approach tasks with precision and efficiency—skills that have proven invaluable in my handyman work. After my military service, I worked on remodeling multiple Whataburgers throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. This hands-on experience allowed me to gain extensive knowledge in commercial remodeling, from electrical and plumbing to carpentry and finishing work, while working under tight deadlines and high standards. Currently, I am employed by the top neighborhood development company in Texas, where I continue to refine my skills, focusing on residential development, construction, and renovation. This ongoing work keeps me at the forefront of industry trends and safety practices, ensuring that I provide top-quality service to every customer. With this diverse background, I’m able to handle a wide range of handyman projects, always bringing professionalism, skill, and a strong work ethic to every job.
