FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
In most situations my lessons are 30-minutes long, given once weekly.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We'll first take a good look at the student's sax and mouthpiece etc. - we want to make sure everything is working properly. We'll go over any recent material the student has been working on (band music for instance). We'll find out if the band director has any requests. I'll have the student do a lot of playing from the very beginning - I would say 75% of the lesson is the student playing solo and the other 25% is the two of us playing together.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied saxophone and woodwinds at UNT (where I played 2 years with the 1 O'Clock Lab Band) and have years of intensive study with some of the very top woodwind educators in the country. My resume is impressive and I have tons of experience teaching students of all ages and all levels. I would certainly enjoy the opportunity to consult with you about lessons and helping you improve your playing.
