FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
While being serviced almost every piano needs some additional adjustment beyond just tuning. I will always try and resolve these small issues during the tuning. I will not charge for this additional work if it takes less than 20 minutes. If the piano has not been tuned in a long time it may require a pitch raise. In this case the total for a pitch raise plus tuning is $200.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I alway try and get to know my new customers. I want to find out how they use their piano and what they would like to get from the instrument. This can help me make recommendations that will really help them enjoy their piano playing.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied at The Chicago School For Piano Technology before starting my tuning business. I am also a member of The Piano Technicians Guild and have earned RPT status. This means that I have passed a comprehensive series of exams in piano technology theory, tuning and repair.
