I began working in the field of education in 1995 and I have started on the college level where I served as a professor, dean of education and my last position was vice president of student services. I then transitioned into public school where I have served as a special education teacher, assistant principal for a high school and campus principal for a K - 8th grade campus.
I am a publisher author and public speaker that enjoys providing presentations to non-profit organizations, businesses, schools, trainings and conferences. I have been a guest on podcasts and I enjoy encouraging others to overcome challenges they face. As a first-generation college graduate, "black sheep of the family", mom, caregiver, wife, and educator/administrator with experience in the field of education for over twenty-five years. I know first-hand that life can be challenging. I have spent several years of my life trying to fit in and be accepted by others. Unfortunately, the more than I did that the more I found myself in unhealthy situations where everyone had expectations of who I was, and how they expected me to conduct myself. It took many years, but I have overcome my personal/professional challenges and I refuse to let everyone else determine the life I live! My Soul IS NOT for Sale!!!
I have designed a program that has helped women of all walks of life make the change they wanted to make while being authentic. The eight-week program focuses on areas that are essential when deciding to make yourself a priority and start living your life on your terms.

No matter who you are and what you do, we all need someone in our corner. Someone to hold us accountable, someone to provide tough love while shooting straight, and someone who can be our number one cheerleader/fan. Give me an opportunity to walk with you through this journey as we march towards a life free from lies, labels, and limits!
I am an experienced educator with over twenty years of experience working in the field of education. It is my goal when speaking to use the challenges that I have faced to inspire others to achieve. I am a first-generation college graduate and the only child out of six children to attend and complete college. I have obtained by bachelors, masters and doctoral degrees.
Personal empowerment involves developing the confidence and strength to set realistic goals and to fulfill your potential. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses and a range of skills that are used in everyday situations, but all too often people remain unaware of, or undervalue, their true abilities.
A person aiming for empowerment is able to take control of their life by making positive choices and setting goals. Developing self-awareness, an understanding of your strengths and weaknesses - knowing your own limitations is key to personal empowerment. These are the true necessities that I aspire to get out of every individual I encounter.
