- What types of customers have you worked with?
Most of all I help my students understand the theory behind the songs they are learning, so future songs become easier to play and understand why they are combining certain chords and melodies. Once you understand the key a song is written in, it all makes more sense! Strumming and picking patterns will make the song, I expand my students ability to play any rhythm or picking pattern. I have a passion for playing and teaching guitar, and hopefully that becomes infectious!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Experience teaching many different personality types enhances a teachers flexibility to hone the lessons for each student. Look for a teacher with a long history of teaching in different settings. A great player does not always make a great teacher. I have over 25 years teaching experience from Music Store chains, to prominent private school fine arts programs, to my own private studio teaching.
