FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our policy is that we work from a Construction Contract. The ability to add to or modify the contract is always agreed upon prior to the development of the final contract pricing. This will be laid out in a written Proposal and approval of the proposal. Once the proposal is approved then the Contract will be signed by OWNERS and SRv. Then work can begin. The above scenario is for a typical project.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically our process, at the beginning of the project is to have a face to face meeting to discuss the work to be done and walk the project. Then Owner can then articulate their wants and desires. As the Owner, we will need to know your goals for the project and the "I Want to Do This" and "I Do Not want to do This (if you know)" lists. The things in the middle can be discussed in more depth. The reason is to have an understanding of the size, scope, basic design concept. This process may take a couple of trips and discussions. (in person or on ZOOM) Once we have a good idea of the Scope of Work we may develop a simple floor plan which will give is the ability to tract the thoughts and ideas then begin on a budget development.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in the construction industry for 30+ years. In my early days, I worked with my dad who owned several rental properties in the Dallas area. After college I went to work for an engineering firm in Tyler, Texas for 5 years. Other than working with the engineering team I was in charge of designing and drafting the plans and specifications for multiple types of projects that consisted of city parks, housing development designs, large spec houses, Texas Hwy Department road side Rest Areas, design and supervised the repair of dams in Texas lakes and large ponds.
