- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is based on the specific scope, materials, site conditions, and complexity of each project. We provide a detailed proposal so you understand what is included before work begins. Larger projects typically use a transparent milestone payment schedule, and any changes to the approved scope are documented through a written change order before additional work is performed. We focus on fair, accurate pricing and quality workmanship rather than cutting corners to offer the lowest price. Any available discounts or special pricing will be clearly identified in your proposal.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We begin with a conversation to understand your project, goals, priorities, and budget. If the project is a good fit for our services, we schedule an on-site consultation to evaluate the space, discuss options, and gather the details needed to prepare an accurate proposal. You will receive a clear scope of work, project pricing, and payment schedule for review. Once the proposal and service agreement are approved and the required deposit is received, we schedule the project and coordinate the next steps. Throughout construction, we keep you informed, address questions promptly, and document any requested changes in writing before additional work begins. At completion, we conduct a final walkthrough, review any remaining items, and make sure you understand the workmanship warranty.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Modern Craft Remodel brings more than 20 years of hands-on experience in the construction trades. I began my career in custom home building and rough framing, helping build hundreds of homes throughout New England, Virginia, and North Carolina. My background also includes steel construction and concrete work on urban developments, parking garages, municipal projects, and other large development projects throughout California. For the past 10 years, We have focused on residential remodeling. This broad experience has given me a strong understanding of how homes are built, how different trades work together, and how to approach renovation challenges with practical, professional solutions.
