- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have a standard pricing schedule for pet care. I have a flat fee for the pet taxi service and a mileage chart for long distance pet transport. Long distance pricing is comprised of a booking fee+ estimated mileage costs+daily rate for pet care. Lodging, extra pet food, unexpected costs will be invoiced after delivery. - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Message through Thumbtack Exchange numbers and follow up with a call to schedule meet and greet I used to take a hard copy of my terms of service with me to meet and greet but now I have them look it over on the website first and sign digitally. At the meet and greet I take notes on the pet care needs and go over the terms of service for any questions they have. If they decide we are a good match, I confirm dates needed and collect deposit for service(pet sitting, house sitting) We make arrangments for house access and I usually followup within a day or two before service starts
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Human mother for 27+ years. Pet mom for 20+ years. Professional caretaker for seniors and pets since 2023. Red Cross first aid for cats and dogs Licensed driver for 30+ years USDA Class T certification (pending as of Dec 2024)
