I am a muralist and wall painter in Dallas. I have painted walls for five years. I do businesses as well as residential. I dedicate myself to my craft as well as my client. I paint murals with a background color as well as detail paintbrush marks on top, in days sometimes hours. So just because I am a female, doesnt mean I cant paint a whole wall. Beware of Victoria – A Cautionary Tale of Unethical Business Practices
I want to share my unfortunate experience with a so-called mural artist, Victoria, who took my deposit and failed to deliver any services. I initially trusted her because of her claims of being a professional and used her apparent faith and religious values as a selling point. However, after experiencing several red flags, I can no longer stay silent about my experience.
I paid a deposit for a mural project, but what followed was a series of disappointments. Despite her initial enthusiasm, the artist kept asking for additional money for supplies and equipment—things she should’ve had already. It became clear that her ability to complete the mural was questionable.
When I asked for a refund—three separate times, in fact—she refused to return the deposit. To make matters worse, she seemed to use guilt tactics and manipulated the situation, playing on religious faith and trust to avoid accountability.
I regret not paying closer attention when she spoke poorly of a previous client, and in hindsight, it was a clear warning sign.
For anyone thinking of hiring her or doing business with Victoria, I strongly advise you to proceed with extreme caution or better yet, RUN. Protect yourself from the same mistake I made.
I sincerely hope this post helps prevent others from being scammed and taken advantage of. Always trust your gut, get everything in writing, and never ignore red flags.

Hi Cami,
I know you had intentions of hurting me and my business as much as possible. without leaving any context in the situation. so I'll just say it.
Cami had me over to view the space. and then said she couldn't afford the price i gave her, so I gave her a price of about a fifth of the low price of a mural of her wants. a fifth of a low price for her mural. so her normal mural would be around $2000. I gave her a quote of $550.
then she said hse couldn't even afford that, so I wanted to be kind and let her know I could draw it out for just $125. basically for free, in reality.
she sent me a deposit for supplies which is the normal protocol for murals and all service work; which if the customer cancels for no reason. We keep the deposit and usually costs a fee on top of that; the despot on a mural cost that doesn't even cover supplies. I was doing her beyondba favor for someone that couldn't afford and took advantage of me doing it for basically free.
some people have other intentions then what they are actually claiming. the next day i asked her, thinking since I had done such a kind favor for her. if I could she had something I could use to make the drawing go faster so I could get out of her hair. she then proceeded to tell me I didn't have enough experience. far from true. and that she wanted her deposit back.
long story short, some people want to try and leave bad reviews. because they're intentiona was never about the work, but you personally. I think we all know this. and if you can't understand human behavior, than I don't want you to hire me.

Victoria was amazing! She was given an inspiration photo, and she nailed it! I couldn’t tell the difference between the photo and her work!! Victoria listened to my input and added some “drips” to the work of art on my walls which made it perfect for me! I would highly recommend her!!!
