FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For Staging: A consultation is necessary to determine the scope of work and the general cost estimate or proposal. I charge $85.00 payable before the meeting. I will then determine how much time and moving expenses plus whether or not any furniture or accessories are necessary etc. and be able to provide a cost estimate. Note that large staging jobs will be contracted and completed by Blu SkyLiving. I only do smaller projects on my own via Elysee Design. For Interior Design: Similar to above minus the referral to BSL 🙌🏻For my first 5 Thumbtack jobs, I am waiving the consultation fee.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
See my answer to the pricing question, and then from there, I will provide a contract for services and require a %fee based on the total scope of work. We will agree on a time to complete the job, and work will begin. The retainer amount will be used to pay expenses and some reserved for final payment. Receipts for items purchased or movers etc will be provided, and whatever funds needed to complete will be paid at that time until work is completed. Note that large staging jobs will contracted and completed by Blu Sky Living. I only do smaller staging projects on my own via Elysee Design. Interior Design: Similar to above minus referral to BSL
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been designing and decorating since childhood. It has always been my passion and gift. I have acquired much experience over many years doing renovations to small decorating projects to Holiday decor etc. I have been the only designer working with the owner of Blu Sky Living for 7 years. My experience with Blu Sky Living - the pioneer and arguably the best high end home staging company in Dallas - is unparalleled in knowing and executing the best way to maximize the home's potential in order to shine in the eye of the buyer! My staging experience flows over into the projects I do for design clients, because I have an eye for the smallest detail which makes all the difference in the finished overall look!
