This guy came and checked out my hot water heater took a payment for the part and service call said he was coming back on Saturday morning and never showed. No call no showed and took $188 from me and did no service .

Not steal people's money for a start. Brett Macombe hasn't returned my requests for updates after I paid him $279.00 to order parts and cover the labor to repair my washer. I did some research on him when he stopped responding to me and found he has taken other people's money under several business names. Thumbtack should do a better job of vetting business, I want to shop local, but I can't trust this app nor its companies.
