I had let Diego know about the issue and he said he could do a few things to review the issue. I let him know day of coming that the issue isn’t happening anymore and he said he can come take a look and see if he can find cause and solution. He came and didn’t find a cause or solution or didn’t do any deep troubleshooting and charged me for full amount.

Quick response but showed up and was on the phone when we answered the door. We had to wait for him to finish the call before he addressed us. Then wanted to charge almost $400 to install a toilet after we would buy the new one. We’ve had this service done before for $75 and it took the contractor less than 20 minutes to do. Considering that he charges on the higher end of diagnostic visits, we ended up paying more for him to come by than we may have with another professional to complete the job. I don’t doubt the skills and positive reviews, but this felt like an attempt to take advantage.

I’ve hired Diego twice now. On the first job, he did a nice job but was very high priced. On the second job, he charged way too much for what he did. He also told me to order a replacement toilet tank off of Amazon and it turned out to be the wrong one (doesn’t fit the base). So now I’m sitting here with a toilet that has no tank and a replacement tank that I have to somehow return. Major pain. Advice to Diego’s customers: ask him up front how much the job is going to cost in parts and labor and double check his work (particularly on parts).
