Ascencio cannot give an accurate estimate to the job. I was quoted a $500-$700 estimate and after the work was finished was told it would be $1200. After negotiations I was able to get the price down to $900. He will not take a credit card or personal check to pay for his services. He will accept cash, cash app, or Zelle. Give you little to know protection once he is paid. Work did not include clean up and replacement of materials. However he was quick to refer me to other workers who would do the clean up for $700. I am certain I can find a repairman for $200 or less. To give a fair review, I certainly need to mention that Ascencio was prompt to respond to my repair request. Ascencio, came back and addressed some issues I had. I have updated my rating. I would use him again.

They did a great job. Went to three plumbing supply places to find the correct water heater replacement. They did a great job cleaning up after themselves too which most contractors don't.

Very happy with the service. We had a problem with low water pressure in all the faucets in our house due to a valve issue. Nelson was able to come over promptly and took care of it fast. He was very patient in answering all our questions and gave us suggestions on what to look out for . He also found the replacement part and switched it out fast. Definitely recommend this professional.

Update: They reached out to me on thumbtack and addressed my concerns. I appreciate the attempt to remedy the situation. One guy and a teenager boy came. I was not at the house yet but had a contractor there. Over text, I told them I wanted a quote first. They said of course. When I got there they’re already turning water off and everything. I’m not too familiar with the process so I ask again “are you able to do this? What will be the cost?” They DON’T speak English so we could not communicate. He tried with google translate which is ok but he just ignores what I am saying. When he finally gives me the quote I said no I don’t want to go ahead with this. I even gestured with my hands waving it no. He continues and I figured he’s putting things back but then he has the valve out. At this point my contractor finally comes and speaks Spanish and tells him I don’t want him to do it. He gets upset and says he’s done a lot of the work already… But I literally told him STOP more than 3 times… the lack of communication skills, nonverbal and verbal, is quite frustrating. The other reason I did not want him to do it in addition to the no communication was the carelessness when he continue to let water spill and soak from the pipes into my new baseboards and floor without attempting to clean it before I took towels and cleaned it myself. After speaking back and forth through my contractor I let him finish the job and honestly shouldn’t have and just gone with my gut instinct because now he says the right valve needs to be replaced too… Well, if he had experience he should’ve known the right one would need to be replaced if the left one is. So he either has no experience or purposely hid it. Either way not the person I want working on my house. Also by the way this right valve was completely fine in the morning when my washer dryer people came to install. Only the left one was stuck.
