Terrible experience. We hired Alan to paint new build cabinets and the room. He bid the job on-site and we pointed out flaws in the cabinets (another disappointing Thumbtack pro). He assured us his team could fix and they would be “meticulous.” They are far from meticulous. I asked him to come back out and look at the work and he assured me he would come back himself and fix it. He didn’t and sent the same painter who had left it poorly last week. We were very clear we wanted a smooth finished, sprayed with no brush strokes. After doing the touch ups, they rolled all of the flat surfaces, not a smooth sprayed finish at all. When I called Alan, he asked me to pay the worker the last $250. I told him I’d be happy to pay it when they finished the touch ups and we were happy. At that point, he said he was loosing money on the job and they weren’t coming back. He then called the painter who packed up and left, leaving the front door wide open. He then texted me and asked me to Zelle the money, writing “we don’t work for free this isn’t charity.” I never asked them to work for free. He bid the job, we agreed on a price, and we paid approx. 90%. We now have to hire another painter to fix it, making this job way more expensive. We’re not overly picky. It’s basic that professional painters should cover nail holes, clean up paint on the wall, and not let paint run down the cabinets. The photos speak for themselves.

After giving jamie a quote to paint cabinets that she had made by somebody else I let her know they had been poorly made and would need a lot of work , she then said she would fix it “herself” to lower cost . Instead I created a plan within her budget and we fixed a lot of defects in the cabinets. She called me on what was supposed to be final day of completion and said “ I love your guys “ and “ I’m really impressed with everything “. Once done she had a dramatic change of heart and held partial payment because it needed touch up’s to which I agreed and sent out painter to fix them. In the middle of fixing the excessive amount of blue tapes jamie put up, she said she wanted the touch ups to be “re-sprayed “ and would not pay anything until we continued to come back several times until she was happy. At this point I was negative in profit by hundreds and realized nothing we did would make Jamie happy, I decided to take my loss and not continue to detail the cabinet for her. As for the door she has a bad latch and door does not shut … I made this aware to her (Pictures are of unfinished work we were in the process of fixing for her)
