FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Typically, simple estimates are free unless I have to spend a lengthy amount of time measuring, designing and typing up an estimate. My standard fee for a service call is $65. If I'm able to resolve the customers issue quickly, that's usually the extent of it. However, after hours service calls are $99 (6p-8a/weekends) Beyond that prices can vary from one job to the next but are usually less than $200-$300 for most small jobs. Depending on the time and materials required it can increase to match the scope of the project. I do try to be competitive with my pricing, save the customer money and make my service a bargain.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Very simple. Discuss the project, determine if I can help effectively and efficiently and schedule an appointment. Complete the task(s), ensure satisfaction of the customer and hopefully establish a relationship for repeat business. The best kind of business.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In general.. I've been good with tools and creative problem solving my whole life. I've learned from "the old guys". My philosophy is to learn something new every day. Earn the experience points and utilize my skill set to the fullest. More specifically in this trade I was an apprentice to my Uncle for a year who's been in the business over 20 years.
