Curbed Behaviors Dog Training is an AMAZING training program! We have a 6 year old 70 pound shelter dog (Gus) that would rush the door, jump and bark and had not been socialized much with other dogs. Walks were not fun. He would pull and bark consistently when he saw another dog. We had tried another training program but didnt see many results. We met with the trainers at Curbed Behaviors and they recommended the 2 week Social program. They said by the end of that program Gus would be kennel trained, , would place, sit, down, stay and would be better with other dogs.I was skeptical and even asked what their success rate was. We came back after two weeks. We spent about 2 hours doing owner training with the trainer and Gus. Gus now does all the commands but most importantly to us he is completely different when he sees other dogs. He no longer barks annoyingly or tries to pull away. To say I was shocked is an understatement! We continue to work daily with Gus to reinforce the new behaviors and he continues to improve. Highly recommend the amazing trainers and the Curbed Behaviors Dog Training program!!

Cindy, thank you so much for your review. We are very proud of Gus, you, and your husband. We emphasize to everyone that training is lifelong and doesn't end at graduation. You guys really understood that. We were only the first step in Gus' road to success, but you and your husband will be what helps him reach long-term success. Keep up the great work and reach out any time if you need assistance.

We sent both of our pups down separately for two week training sessions with Curbed Behaviors.Wilson, our 8 year old Terrier mix, was an SPCA rescue from a hoarding and abusive background. He was afraid of anything new - people, places, animals - and expressed his fear through aggression. After two weeks with Curbed Behaviors and diligent follow-up at home, Wilson listens better, enjoys new experiences more (like playing with his little brother Ghost - more about that in a sec) and perhaps the biggest accomplishment of all, has approached and allowed two different strangers to pet him, something he NEVER would have done before his experience in training! Our puppy Ghost also went through the two week program but for very different reasons. Aside from needing basic puppy training, Ghost is a special needs dog - he's deaf! Curbed Behaviors was able to fit their standard training program to accommodate his needs, and while Ghost is still a crazy little 8 month old Jack Russell Terrier puppy, his foundational skills are strong and he's doing an amazing job!All in all, we cannot thank Curbed Behaviors enough for helping our pups grow and giving us the tools we needed to be the best dog owners we can be. Run, don't walk, to their website and sign up for classes now!

Hailey, Ghost and Wilson are very special to us. We appreciate your trust in us while they were in our programs. We had a really great time working with them and you guys of course. Give yourself credit too! Afterall, you guys have been maintaining and reinforcing the training since graduation. That makes it possible for these puppers to grow!

Working with Curbed Behavior has been such a great experience. I would recommend them to anyone who has a dog. We have two rescue dogs that each has their own set of problems. After going through the social skills program with Curbed Behaviors we feel more confident taking them out in public. We have one dog who was very reactive to other dogs but in working with Curbed Behaviors that has almost completely stopped. They have amazing support after training is over so you never feel lost going forward. 10/10 recommend them.

I had to stop and take the time to finally write this review today because of all the wonderful things that have come out of my training with Curbed Behaviors, today really solidified how effective our training was. I have a rescue that is very nervous and my biggest fear that I expressed to them was for her to get loose. She is very skittish and fearful of the outside. Today I accidentally dropped her leash on a very busy street with stray dogs (Washington Ave). She started to run, but we remembered our training. We kneeled and called to her and she came back - we were so relieved and shocked. This would have never happened if we had not taken her to Curbed Behaviors. I am so grateful for Terry and Alejandra they have been so incredibly supportive throughout the entire process. We just had our second rescue complete their training program which included social skills and place training. We now have a home where both our dogs fit comfortably into our family and our pets understand their roles which has greatly improved their anxiety/stress.

This makes our heart so happy! We're super proud of you guys! What mattered most in that moment is that you guys took control of the situation! That's such a huge accomplishment for y'all as a pack! As owner/handlers, it's so important that we remain calm and in control for our safety, the safety of our dogs, and those around us. This just goes to show that the work you guys have been doing at home with Ziggy & Newt is paying off. Again, GREAT JOB! #success
