Hello Canyon Lake, New Braunfels, San Marcos, Bulverde, north San Antonio area residents. Let me introduce myself. My name is Doug. My wife and I moved to the canyon lake area in 2013. For years beforehand I worked as a high end handyman in and around Austin. Over the last 11-12 years, I have become one of the highest regarded handymen in the austin- san antonio area. And with good reason. When we moved out here, my commute to Austin became ridiculous. For over a year, I have stayed working in Austin because most of my customers are return customers for life, and they fully trust me in their homes. I suppose it was that great feeling that led me to put 100k miles on my truck in 18 months. I moved my service area to serve my own community. It was wildly successful. Luckily, I have many satisfied customers as references, and a few have left glowing reviews of my work. I guarantee my work, so I MUST please you if my business model is to succeed. For 12 years I maintained an all 5 star rating on home advisor / angi. Then i came to thumbtack and found a gem of a dementia client who gave me a 2 star review because I let him convince me to use his tools. The story is in my response to the horrible review. If it has to do with the home, most likely I can do it. -interior/exterior trim -decks -floors -water damage repair -tile repair and small remodels -drywall repair & texture matching - waterproofing and minor roof repair -faucet and fixture replacement -Ceiling fan and light electrical fixture replacement -gutter repair & rain water systems install -and much more I have been in the Canyon Lake area for about 12 years, and one thing that I've noticed about this area, is the amateur repair work I see almost everywhere I look. I suppose the most important thing I am offering is excellence in craftsmanship, honesty, & the option to repair what the last guy tried to fix. It's been my goal to build a reliable company that the community can call on for high-quality repairs for years to come. I obviously can not achieve that with inferior work and ethics. I perform every job as if it were for my own grandparents. this has been an extremely good strategy. I will never bid a project that I haven't done multiple times. I guarantee satisfaction, so in order to create lifelong customers, I will not risk a job going way over budget because of lack of experience. I recently changed my company name under advisement of other pros (put what you do in the company name) I am college educated, BUT family has always been a top priority, so owning my own business was A MUST if I wanted to be there for my kids when needed. It has been the best decision EVER.
