FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer a flat-fee, one-time financial plan at a discounted rate of $1200. This financial plan is the foundation for all future planning conversations (including retirement planning, tax planning, estate planning, insurance planning, investment planning, education planning, etc) should you decide you want to move forward with me into ongoing financial planning and investment management, in which case I apply the $1200 towards the first year fees.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Intro call is the first touchpoint, lasting about 30 minutes. This is just an opportunity to get to know each other better, and for me to better understand your needs and what you're looking for, and see if I'm a good fit to help with that. If you decide you want to do financial planning with me, we schedule an hour-long data gathering meeting to map out your financial situation together. I then take a few days to put the plan together, and we meet back together for a plan delivery meeting, where I walk you through every step of the plan, interpreting it for you, extracting relevant insights for your specific situation, and basically just help you understand the story your financial plan is telling. From there, we can move forward into ongoing financial planning and investment management, where I'll develop a customized portfolio for you based on your financial situation, time horizon, financial goals, risk tolerance, etc. and periodically rebalance the portfolio back to target, looking each time for opportunities for tax loss harvesting. In this ongoing model, we meet regularly throughout the year, where we dive deeper into tax planning, estate planning, insurance planning, etc. You also have access to schedule time for us in between regular meetings if anything comes up, or you can just call, email or text. My "on-call" availability is part of my value proposition to clients. We typically have 4-6 regularly scheduled meetings during the first year, and then settle into 3-4 regular meetings a year.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
