- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I primarily use a standard hourly rate to keep things as simple and straight forward as possible. Except for material or equipment rental costs there are never any extra fees. I bring receipts and you pay what I pay.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Part of the reason I love what I do is meeting all the new people. I like to get a general outline of the projects that need done first, the more information I can get before I arrive the better. Then we get you on the schedule. I try to be as open and upfront about potential issues as I can be. If your project is too big or too complicated for me to tackle I'll be the first person to let you know. That way neither of us are wasting our time. I've also been known to solve problems over the phone for the same reason.
