FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Overall pricing for SAT and ACT prep can vary widely depending on family goals, budget, and timeframe. We encourage you to plan for the long-term: book SAT or ACT tutoring packages of 12 to 16 lessons, so that you can reserve your slots ahead of time and have the necessary time to study and absorb all the test-prep info we have for you. However, many families prefer a more month-to-month style commitment, in which case it can be effective to book and schedule tutoring in 4-lesson packages.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes! Our team - especially our SAT and ACT tutors - are always up-to-date on the latest testing information and tutoring methods. We continually seek out the newest tips, tricks, and strategies so that we can share them with our students. Our tutors work together to continually improve their skills: we run advanced trainings, tutor shadowing, group meetings, and discussions of best teaching practices. We also add to our company library every month, seeking out and learning from the best books and guides in the industry, so that your student always gets the most current test prep information available. Our knowledge of the SAT, ACT, and test prep field are second-to-none, and we work every day to stay on top of an ever-changing and competitive field.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Each instructor at Love the SAT became a test-prep tutor for his or her own reasons, but each of us loves to teach, loves to learn, and loves a good challenge. SAT and ACT tutoring is actually very, very fun and challenging when a teacher's personality is a fit for the job. All of our tutors gravitate towards the excitement and satisfaction of results-oriented tutoring with gifted and ambitious kids and students - and that's why we're here!
